I was approached by the agency Said & Done, to collaborate on an animation for one of their clients, Kinnarps, a leader in interior design solutions. It was an exciting opportunity to partner with Said & Done and to bring their vision to life through animation.
The team at Said & Done, along with designer Rory Muldoon, provided me with a fun and vibrant storyboard for the animation showcasing Kinnarps's new 'Next Gen Project Rooms'. This animation is featured on the Kinnarps website, aiming to showcase the innovative meeting room concept that 'turns traditional, inflexible project rooms upside down'.
The storyboard was colourful, featuring clean and simple yet personality-filled character designs. To do justice to the characters, I decided to inject energy by pushing the boundaries of their design through techniques like bounce, squash, and stretch. This approach allowed me to explore and expand upon the designs in a playful and dynamic manner, finding ways to make them walk or look sad despite having no legs, arms, or eyes - making the process a lot of fun!
